If there is one person who knows very well how to run a business that has something to do with alternative healthcare, it would be Vic Neufeld. He has over two decades of experience as a CEO of one of the world’s leading vitamin brands and he brought tremendous growth to Aphria. Through his leadership, he was able to transform the company from small time to one of the biggest and most popular vitamin brands in the world. After 21 years, the company was bought by another company. Victor sees it as an opportunity to enjoy his family life. It is finally his time to bid goodbye to the executive life and live his life free from stress and to just literally enjoy his retirement. However, things didn’t go as planned.
He received a call from a friend who grows cannabis plant. The cannabis industry is a multi-billion business and is continuously growing. His friend needs Vic’s expertise in handling and managing businesses that have something to do with alternative healthcare. The thought of helping other people in need of medical care through cannabis excites Victor. So, he decided to take on the challenge. After all, the alternative healthcare industry is Vic’s expertise.
Vic Neufeld's Long Journey
Throughout his journey as an executive officer of alternative healthcare companies, Victor Neufeld has experienced some difficulties. However, giving up is not an option for him. He always strives hard to find solutions to every struggle and obstacle that comes along the way. He attributed his attitude and work ethics to his father. Vic Neufeld didn’t come from a wealthy family. His dad was originally from Germany who moved to Canada for a better future after World War II.
When his dad arrived in Canada, they don’t have enough money to have a new beginning. So, his dad sharecrops and saves money until such time they were able to buy their own farm. At an early age, Vic as well as his three brothers, were trained by their father to help on the farm. Right after school, they were asked to help with everything that needs to be done on the farm. Sunday is spent with the family. They are required to go to the church and give thanks for all the graces.
Vic Neufeld Daily Life
Despite the difficult childhood, Vic sees it as a saving grace. It has helped mold him to be the kind of man and a leader that he is today. Though he never wanted to be a peach farmer all his life, he still goes back to the day when life was less stressful and less complicated. Aside from being a top executive, Vic Neufeld is also a certified public accountant, CA, and MBA. He currently lives in Ontario Canada together with his wife and children.
